The African Left-Handers Foundation (ALHF) was established in 2020 with the singular purpose to advance advocacy for the human rights of left-handed communities across the African continent in collaboration with other organizations that seek to protect left-handed communities’ rights globally.

it is indeed grateful to have this platform in which we are able to share the injustices that we have faced simply because we were born lefthanded. from my community been left handed is translated as curse and forced to conform. i heard my father saying they tried together with the teachers to change me but it was futile. the hit my fingers hard and even tiring it but eventually it never worked. i was only learner who was left handed in the whole class and people were sarcastic on me with funy questions. nonethless i never changed. as a parent today my son is left-handed and i dont have issue with it
